The Gardai have just announce that they have added 335 new saferty cameras to Irish Roads with over 20 of these added in the Kerry area.
From what we can see from the map the main additions that affect the Mid Kerry area and the stretches of road from Castlemaine towards Farranfore and stretching from Caragh Bridge right through Glenbeigh towards Cahersiveen. You can see the updates from the map below.

Chief Superintendent Aidan Reid said there is “no doubt” but the cameras save lives.
“The safety cameras are proven life savers and only operate in areas which have a speed related collision history where fatal, serious injury and now minor injury collisions occur,” –
